Changing Your Password

Need to change your Tavrn password? Here’s how.

Changing Your Password

1

Go to Settings → Security & 2FA

Find the Password section.
2

Enter your new password

Type your new password in the New Password field.
3

Click 'Update Password'

Your password is updated. Your current session stays active, but other devices may require you to log in again with the new password.
Pick a strong, unique password, ideally something generated by a password manager. See Keeping Your Account Secure for more on good password practices.

About Your Email Address

Your email address is displayed in Settings → Security & 2FA but cannot be changed directly for security reasons. If you need to update your email, contact Tavrn support.

Resetting a Forgotten Password

If you can’t log in because you’ve forgotten your password:
1

Go to the Tavrn login page

Don’t try to log in, look for the Forgot Password? link below the login form.
2

Enter your email address

The one associated with your Tavrn account.
3

Check your email

You’ll receive a password reset link. Click it within the expiration window (typically a few hours).
4

Set a new password

Enter and confirm your new password on the reset page.
5

Log in normally

Use your new password on the regular login page.
Password reset emails can land in spam. If you don’t see it within a few minutes, check your spam/junk folder. Make sure you entered the correct email address.

If You Use Steam Login

If you signed up with Steam, you can connect your Steam account via Settings → Connections. Your Tavrn password is managed separately from Steam, if you logged in only via Steam and haven’t set a password, you’ll reset via the “Forgot Password” flow if needed.

After Changing Your Password

If you suspect your account was accessed without your permission, after changing your password you should also:
  1. Enable 2FA if it isn’t already on, Two-Factor Authentication guide →
  2. Log out of all sessions to kick any active unauthorized sessions
  3. Check your account activity for anything unusual
