Absolutely not. Everything that makes Tavrn worth using, messaging, rooms, voice and video calls, friends, all of it, is completely free. Cocoa is an optional layer of extras on top.

Yes, Cocoa includes a 7-day free trial when you first subscribe. You get full access to all Cocoa perks during the trial. After 7 days, billing begins at the rate for whichever plan you selected.
Yes. If you cancel before the 7-day trial period ends, you won’t be charged anything. Your Cocoa perks will remain active until the trial period finishes.
Your animated avatar reverts to a static image (the first frame of your GIF), your Cocoa badge disappears, and your profile returns to the standard options. All your messages, friends, rooms, and history are completely unaffected. Nothing gets deleted.
Yes! Tavrn occasionally gifts Cocoa to users through community events, giveaways, and recognition programs. When gifted, it applies to your account automatically, no codes to enter. Receiving Gifted Cocoa →
Yes. Gifted time stacks on top of your existing subscription, it doesn’t overlap or waste any time.
Tavrn reviews refund requests case-by-case. Genuine billing errors are handled. For general buyer’s remorse or accidental subscription, reach out to support and explain the situation, no guarantees, but they’re reasonable people.
Tavrn uses Stripe for all payment processing. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by Tavrn. Stripe is one of the most trusted payment platforms in the world.
Yes, Cocoa is tied to your account, not your device. Your perks work on any device you log into Tavrn from.
No, perks are account-specific. If you want to give Cocoa to another account, use the gifting feature.
Yes. Both monthly and yearly plans auto-renew unless you cancel. You’ll receive a reminder email before the yearly plan renews.
Update it in Settings → Cocoa → Update Payment Method before the next billing date. If a payment fails, Tavrn retries and notifies you by email. Updating quickly prevents any lapse in your subscription.
Tavrn and Stripe support payments from most countries. If you’re having trouble checking out, it may be a regional payment method issue, try a different card or payment method.
Yes, that’s the plan. As Tavrn builds new features, some will find their way into Cocoa. Current subscribers benefit from new perks as they’re added without paying more.
No. Cocoa is entirely cosmetic and quality-of-life. It doesn’t grant admin abilities, room permissions, or any power over other users. The role hierarchy in rooms is completely separate.
It’s visible on your profile to anyone who can see your profile (based on your privacy settings). In rooms and chats, the badge appears on your mini profile when someone clicks your name.
First, try refreshing the page, there can be a brief delay after payment. Check Settings → Cocoa to confirm your subscription status shows as “Active.” If the status is active but perks aren’t working, reach out to Tavrn support with your account details.
